As of Nov.1st, 5pm, the opportunity to submit work has now come to a close.
The Rhode Island RISD Alumni Group is excited to announce our inaugural Gallery Showing, a kick off event to jump start the alumni community in Rhode Island. We are calling on you, our RI based Alumni, to submit work for this event; all majors, years and current professions are invited to submit a piece of work (1) and attend the opening. Come reconnect with fellow alumni in the first of a series of events that will highlight and foster the amazing talent and offerings of the greater RI RISD community.
VICINITY : RISD Rhode Island Alumni Exhibition
Opening: Thursday, November 10th, 2011, 7pm
Keeseh Studio, 42 Rice Street, Providence, RI
*Due to space limitation and allocation, the Chapter will accept all work and final selection of the exhibition will be based on showing a diverse exhibit pertaining to location, medium and subject matter.
All submission forms are due online by Tuesday, November 1st, 5pm.
All artwork to be dropped off by Friday, November 4th, 6pm-10pm.
If you are submitting time based work, or small objects that require pedestals or armatures, we ask that you please provide all necessary equipment.

Great question. Our form does not allow attaching a JPEG image, so if all submissions can include a follow-up email to
risd.represent@gmail.com, with the JPEG image of the work, your name, and the work’s title, that would be most helpful.

Thanks Ruta, please submit your work and form. We are giving priority first to alumni living in RI first, but if we have space, please submit.

Super excited about this! I sent an earlier app but never received a response. I plan to submit 3 pieces. Hope it’s ok.
Hi Claudai, I will double check our final list, now that the submission window has finally closed. We received a wonderful outpouring of submissions and will need to review the work with the space available to see if all work, or not, will be shown. As stated in our form, due to space limitations and allocation we cannot guarantee all work can be exhibited, but will try our best and also notify those who may not be able to show this time around. Thanks, the Alumni group will be in touch soon.
Hi, I filled out the form, but didn’t realize it needed to be followed up with an email and JPeg. Should I still drop it off at the gallery? I never received any email confirmation.

Due to this and the large number of submissions we received, we are in the process of reviewing all work, and not all work will be able to be shown.
We will notify alumni so they know to drop off their work on Nov. 4th, 6pm-10pm at Keeseh Studio. Email risd.represent@gmail.com, with any other questions.
